Angels of Charity Mission

The Angels of Charity, Inc., was founded in the Palm Beaches in June 1997 by Dorothy A. Sullivan, prominent and tireless philanthropist. It was formed as a not-for-profit organization comprised of some 40 local business, professional and charitable women with only one purpose in mind - to raise funds for area children's' charities. These members are all unpaid volunteers who give endless hours of their time and energy to support a variety of charity events, which raise money to benefit the children of our community who so desperately need help.

Physical illness besets many; psychological problems plague others. Whether they bear scars which are visible to the eye or those which are unseen, but have damaged them deeply, The Angels of Charity are there to help with healing process. This is the focus of The Angels of Charity. We are not limited to a single cause. All children with these needs are important to us. They are all very special to us. Our fund-raising efforts have benefited various non-profit organizations who deliver the care these children need. A wonderful opportunity has been presented to us to join with the Lifelines Campaign of Intracoastal Health Systems to aid in the realization of the Richard And Pat Johnson Children's Hospital at St. Mary's. The need for a true "children's " hospital in this area is enormous and growing each day. We are honored to lend our support to making it happen.

If our work helps to alleviate the pain of our community's children and speed their healing, then, it is all worth it and we are fulfilling our mission. Our purposes are purely those of true "charity"... hence, our name... expecting nothing in return except the satisfaction of knowing that in some small way, we have "given back". Our work is truly the work of the Lord. Mankind reaches its highest level when it reaches out to these little ones, the lifeblood of our Future. Each and every one of you, through your generosity and support of the events which we sponsor are helping to make it a good day today and a better day tomorrow by giving these precious children the opportunity to rebuild their trust, their hopes and their dreams as recipients of our boundless love and support.
