1997 Palm Beach International Film Festival General Information The purpose of the Palm Beach International Film Festival is to enhance the excellence and quality of the county through a ten-day celebration of film. Festival Dates: This year's dates are April 10th - 20th, 1997. Galas & Parties: Thursday, April 10th Burt Reynolds Institute of Theatre Training ,West Palm Beach - Opening Night Premiere & Reception Friday, April 11th Palm Beach Hilton - Beach Bash, Palm Beach Saturday, April 12th Boca Raton Resort & Club - Grand Gala (Black Tie Gala) Saturday, April 19th The Breakers - Tribute to the Master of Suspense . . . Sir Alfred Hitchcock (Black Tie Gala) Sunday, April 20th PGA National Resort & Spa - The Cast Party Opening Night Premiere & Reception, Beach Bash, The Cast Party: $35.00 per ticket per party Tickets to all events (including the Grand Gala & Tribute to Alfred Hitchcock), films and seminars: $1,000.00 per ticket Merchandise: T-Shirt $ 15.00 Lapel buttons $ 5.00 Posters $ 10.00 Program Guide/ Sponsorships: The Festival will publish an official Program Guide that will list film synopsis, as well as tribute pages for honorees. Advertising rates and mechanical requirements can be secured by contacting the PBIFF office. Community Support: A portion of the Festival proceeds will be donated to support film programs at Palm Beach Community College, the Palm Beach School of the Arts and the Magnet Program for Film in Palm Beach County Schools.
