MUSIC

Some 40 concerts by national recording artists, regional groups and local bands will perform on the NationsBank Stage and two other stages. The concerts feature the best in jazz, pop, classic and new rock, reggae, world beat, R&B, gospel and country. Also, national recording artists conduct music clinics for students and fans of all ages.

To date, 19 acts have been booked. See FEATURED ARTISTS for bios and more. The complete lineup will be announced March 26.

ATTRACTIONS

The AT&T Fireworks, synchronized to WRMF 97.9 FM, is one of the largest fireworks displays on the East Coast, on Friday, May 2.

Motorola Marketplace. Exhibiting a variety of internationally hand-made arts, crafts, collectibles, jewelry and toys.

SunTrust Juried Art Show. More than 150 artists working in many mediums (not open on Wednesday or Thursday).

SunFest Lagoon. Guests can enjoy an ambiance of snack and beverage barges, a waterfront gate, a floating stage on the waterway, pedal boat rentals and more.

NationsBank Youth Park. Featuring a stage with numerous youth and teen acts. The park also offers many family-oriented hands-on activities including puppet and magic shows, games and "make and take" art creations.

Food Sampler Program. Menu items offered for $4 or less in regular or sampled-sized servings.

ADVANCE DISCOUNT TICKETS: One day ticket $8 ($12 at the gate), Five-day pass $20 ($25 at the gate). Advance tickets on sale March 26 - April 25 at:

  • Palm Beach County - Publix supermarkets, First Union National Bank branches, the Palm Beach Mall information booth, TicketMaster outlets (or charge by phone)

  • Martin County - Publix supermarkets, TicketMaster outlets

  • Outside of Palm Beach, Martin counties - Florida TicketMaster outlets

  • Children 12 and under free with adult

  • Seniors 65 and over at the gate: $6 (half the gate price)

SunFest© of Palm Beach County, Inc. is a nonprofit organization consisting of a 23-member board of directors; 25 committees; a full-time, year-round staff of nine; almost 3,000 volunteers; and some 100 corporate sponsors. SunFest '97 is funded in part by the Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council through the Palm Beach County Cultural Council.
