Gold Coast Orthopedics
Services Provided

As Orthopedic Surgeons we treat injuries and ailments of the bones, joints, muscles, tendons and nerves.

We treat upper extremity conditions of the shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers, and lower extremity conditions of the toes, ankles, knees and hips as well as neck and back injuries and ailments.

Conditions which we typically see include fractures, sprains, overuse syndromes, bursitis, arthritis, and trauma. We treat sports related injuries which generally occur to the knee, shoulder, ankle and elbow and which can often be treated by physical therapy or arthroscopy.

Overuse syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis or bursitis can be treated with medication, therapy, braces, injections or surgery.

Bunions and other disorders of the feet can frequently be improved operatively. Bone spurs can be injected or removed.

Fractures are frequently treated with splints or casts, but may need operations to improve the position of the bones.

Back and neck pain can be treated with medications, injections and therapy. In some cases we recommend back or neck surgery.

Tests which this office may request for you include plain x-rays (usually performed in our office), EMG's (or Electromyograms, also performed in our office), Blood tests, MRI's, CAT scans, etc. Therapies offered may include Medications, Physical Therapy, Injections, etc. If you have any questions about a procedure that has been requested, we request that you ask one of the office staff about it. Frequently there are alternatives to the suggested method of treatment so please feel free to ask the physician or physician's assistant about these alternatives.

Our approach to treatment of your condition is generally conservative and includes therapy, injections, braces, splints or casts, and medication. Surgery is generally undertaken if your condition does not respond to conservative treatment.

When surgery is necessary, many of our operative procedures, such as arthroscopy for joint pain, and nerve releases for carpal tunnel syndrome are performed on an outpatient basis, generally needing no overnight hospital stay, and only minimal incisions.

However, should your condition require major operative surgery such as total joint replacement for arthritis, reductions of a fracture, or similar major surgery, we can admit you to Good Samaritan Hospital or St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach
