West Palm Beach is the heart of Palm Beach County. Housing the county government, judicial complex, international airport and a newly renovated, vibrant downtown business district, it is, indeed, the county's largest commercial center.

Two years ago, the city celebrated its 100th anniversary with an exciting new look, thanks to the master plan of the Downtown Development Authority. Its revamped waterfront, downtown area, infrastructure and historical neighborhoods give the city a unique combination of old and new.

A rapidly growing business community and continuing construction, both residential and commercial, keep West Palm Beach active and dynamic. As home to nearly 85,000 people, it is the largest city in the county and one of the state's fastest growing areas.

West of West Palm Beach is Wellington, a suburban town that has become world renowned for its polo facilities. The Palm Beach Polo and Country Club brings thousands of spectators to Wellington, including celebrities and royalty, who are loyal followers of the sport of kings. Spectators gather fieldside for tailgate parties and posh charity events, as the world's best polo players ride their polo ponies in pursuit of the game's most coveted trophies.

Wellington (population: 30,000) is also known for its golf, tennis and equestrian center, all of which are within easy access of upscale residential and country-club communities. Though it is only a few miles west of West Palm Beach, Wellington is a contained, family-oriented community with a tightly knit quality.
