Phillips Seafood Restaurants originated in Maryland where Blue Claw Crabs are a regional delicacy. I had been looking forward to dining at our West Palm Beach "Phillips" because my husband's family is from Maryland and they have been raving about the seafood at Phillips for years. Well, for one thing, Blue Claw Crabs were nowhere in sight on the night we ventured into the restaurant and apparently won't be until May. They did offer the local variety of crabs, either singly, or by the dozen. After having been warned by the waiter that they weren't very good, and therefore not being sure if they were of the same quality as the Maryland style, we decided to try two. He was right.
